Tonight in our nations Capitol they are reading the names of fallen officers, killed in the line of duty in the past year & their names added to the National Police Officer Memorial. There were 286, 9 of those from Arkansas, one a member of the Drug Task Force in our state. Its a 26% increase this past year. Those numbers make me sick & break my heart for those families. While no one has a guarantee of tomorrow, very few of us OR our spouses go to work each day with an increase of disrespect & often hatred just because of the position we hold. Are they perfect? No, nor any other profession. Few others put their life on the line for strangers & their community. Tomorrow is National Peace Officer Memorial Day. Please take a moment and pray for the families that have dealt with such a tragedy and please pray for the safety of our officers & that each of our families continue to be blessed by having our officers come home each day. I take it personal if you get on here and bash a cop. You are bashing people who choose to protect you, who will be the first ones you call God forbid you need them. Proud of my husband, my dad, grandpa, & our many friends who wear a badge. Couldnt begin to thank each of them for the job they do or the sacrifices they make.
