Tonight it was Lynn, Todd, Carole, Ruby, Mike, Nancy, and Byron. Nancy brought her printer, Mike brought salted caramel crisps, and Lynn brought homemade lemon glazed zucchini bread; MAHALO all! We played Hawaiian Lullaby/Malies Song, Hawaii Aloha (Ka Puke version), Waimanalo Blues, Nanakuli Ea, Maori Hangi, Huki Lau/Little Grass Shack medley (we have decided to skip Little Brown Gal for the luau auction), Haole Hula, Kuu Home O Kahaluu, Flying, Lover of Mine, Tonight You Belong to Me, and a Christmas song preview --- No Mo X-mas Blues. IF you plan on being part of the ukulele performance with Aunty Manu at Live Aloha at the Seattle Center on September 7, gather at 3:30 pm at the South Fountain Lawn and then walk up to the Mural Amphitheatre Stage, the program starts at 4 pm. ps Dusty Strings is sponsoring a multi-artist uke concert for the evening of Sept 7, the same day as Live Aloha. The Kokua Luau Fundraiser is Saturday, October 11, 6 pm at the Lacey Community Center (Carole is working with Mike on the set list). SAVE THE DATE: our Hawaiian Christmas concert is Wednesday, December 17, 6:30 - 7:30 pm at the Lacey Timberland Regional Library. More details TBA
