Tonight was Riley and Harleys school concert and Rileys Graduation. Wow what a night. While being proud it was also a choked up night for me. Harley is changing schools to our local primary and the school I drive to. Riley is moving on to Secondary school :( my little boy is no longer little. Harley received the award for Reading a total of 236 nights and his main award was also for reading - Excellence in Reading (persistence and Improvement). This is such a huge award for Harley, until the last couple of years he has never liked reading that much. His favorite teacher Mr Dillon changed that. Im so proud of him. Love you Harley. xxx Riley sure did shine tonight. Wow I was so proud I was choking back tears. He also received a reading award for 273 nights reading. He loves reading. He received his certificate for Graduating Primary School and did a truly awesome speech (If I can figure out how to turn the video I will post it later). Drum roll ..... Riley was given the Golden Plains Shire Certificate Of Recognition Community Award 2014. He was given the award for Academic Excellence. The speech given by the Principal was so wonderful. Sorry but I have to brag, I have to tell you all this bit, he said.... If Riley continues to study like he is he will be able to achieve anything he wants in his life, he can be anything he wants. He has a direction set for himself already and Mr Dillon and I know he is able to achieve it. Oh this mum sure had trouble not crying. Academic Excellence, wow.
