Tonight was an emotional night, not just for the players, but for the coaches and fans as well. Back at the beginning of our Freshman season, our team came up with a goal, not a simple task, but one thats not far fetch either, and that was to go 9-0. As our team decided this was a goal we could conquer we set out everyday and every practice to help ourselves and each other to get better, then came our first game... We took our determined bodies to Winterset looking to get on the right path with a W, and thats what happened. Since our first game in Winterset we havent stepped off the gas. Then came tonight. Weve been hearing and waiting for this game against Norwalk. Coaches all week have been telling us this is going to be a battle, weve fought through injuries and practices all week as well as mentally and physically preparing. The game of football isnt easy, and we knew that coming into tonights game. We knew we were ready, we knew we had a chance, and more importantly, we knew our goal was on the line. From the moment we got off the bus at Norwalk, nervousness flooded our bodies, this is it, this could be the bump in the road that knocks us off, but that didnt stop us, we started off slow, but soon picked up speed, and we finally found out rhythm. We played Osky Football, and brought home another W. 7-0, boy does it feel good, and Im glad its with the team I love the most.
