Tonight, we conclude our blog serialisation Nanjizal Memories And so to autumn, days where summer lingers on, the landscape turning from greens to russet and brown, the bracken in places bleached the colour of corn under the relentless summer sun. The final visit of the year before winter takes hold. The first glimpse of the bay, the sunlight on the golden granite cliffs. Reaching the bottom of the path and overlooking the beach; deserted, solitude.... A final walk on the sand, watching the waves hitting the rocks. The sea is now a darker hue but the lone seal is still there, bobbing up and down on the waves that are driven in on a wind that still carries some warmth. A time to say goodbye until next year when more memories will be made. If youve enjoyed this blog then you might like to take a look at more of our blogs on our website minack.info/blog.htm In writing about the places that Derek mentioned in the Minack Chronicles our aim is to bring the beauty of those places to you all.
