Tonight we continue our study into the Black Horse of the Third Seal of Revelation 6. The White Horse had gone forth -- conquering sin through the Word of God. Of course Satan began to persecute the church as the Red Horse rode through time. Failing to stop the Word -- Satan used his next tactic. He mingled error with the Word to make the Word of none effect. During the ride of the Black Horse -- beginning with the Roman Emperor Constantine -- truth was mingled with pagan error. The church fell into darkness -- keeping the traditions of men over the Word and commandments of God. The Dark Ages -- under the Roman Church -- were the result of this mingling of truth and paganism -- such that the light of the Word was hidden. The sad fact is that today many people walk in the same darkness -- thinking they are in the light.
