I couldnt agree more with you Malin Blomdahl Lenner and James Conci-Mitchell. One of the best and most respectful ways I have heard about explaining why meal replacement shakes should be avoided by James Conci-Mitchell: Founder Six3Nine & Fitness Columnist. I especially like the part towards the end with the point that having a shake like that on top of a nutritious diet wont do you any harm as such.... I have protein shakes most days (but only post workout and never as a snack even). And yes, id argue the protein quality may better and higher, but in the end overall its not that much better or cleaner than any of these meal replacement shakes. Its when you actually take out actual meals in place of a shake it becomes an issue. If only people knew actually HOW MUCH nutrient dense and good quality food you CAN eat while also loosing weight, reducing your cravings while enjoying all the things you love in moderation .... then I think these shakes would be less successful. Well, I guess the problem here is that people choose convenience over what actually is the best long term solution, since this will mean spending more time actually learning about how to eat, preparing your food, and spend more time actually eating that food too.... I know though once you see and feel the benefits.... you dont want to be without that
