Tonight will be my final time to sit at the Council Table. Its been amazing to look back on the past 4 and half years since I signed my nomination papers. It has been the experience of a lifetime, from being part of so many great community events, meeting numerous residence of North Stormont that I now consider good friends. The privilege of working and sharing ideas with some other really admirable politicians from throughout SD&G and Ontario. I put my heart into serving my community, never missed a council meeting, attended every community event I possibly could, did my best to use social media to keep everyone up to date, and promote events in North Stormont and SD&G, and gave back most of the salary I received for being a Councillor by supporting local organizations, sports teams, fundraiser dinners, raffle tickets, silent auctions, and sponsored community events. Its been said being in politics is a thankless job, to the residence of North Stormont, Thanks so very much for not making that true! I know I will miss being so involved but have very good faith in our new Councillors that they will continue to lead North Stormont into the future.
