Tonights dinner: Curry Channa (chick peas) and tofu with sautéed broccoli. No, its not for me, I had to cook for the family. Recipe & Directions: **TOFU** -preheat oven to 450 -Cut tofu into cubes -place on a large cookie sheet with olive oil ( if desired) -season tofu while on the cookie sheet (pan) first, squirt desired amount of Aminos (Braggs). -Shake garlic powder onto cubes - Shake onion powder on to cubes - Shake Italian seasoning (And whatever other desired spices you choose) -allow tofu to brown and crisp -use spatula to flip cubes to the other side to brown - remove tofu from oven and allow to cool while preparing curry sauce. **Curry Sauce/Gravy** -Heat pan with oil ( if desired) - for those not using oil, you may pre-mix curry powder and water then pour into pan to heat. - allow curry powder to blacken slightly -pour in a little water to start making the sauce - be sure to continually stir. Curry burns easily, keep heat medium to low. -once youve achieved a smooth gravy-like consistency, add channa (chick peas) - season chick peas with desired spices. I used garlic and onion powder and a little Aminos. -allow chick peas to soften like butter, but not to mush. -add in tofu -stir - cover and Let simmer -server and enjoy!! Sidenote: I did not have all of the ingredients I usually use to make this dish. Below are item to include but not pictured below: - unsweetened Coconut milk in gravy - sautéed onions, green, red and yellow peppers (separate pan) then added to gravy ( for a Thai- like experience, add fresh basil leaves to gravy) **BROCCOLI** -A spot of Olive oil ( if desired) -garlic powder ( I usually cut up fresh cloves, today was a lazy day) -a dash of liquid Aminos ( if desired) Hope you enjoy!!! My family is. :)
