Tonights gratitude list. Today, Im grateful for: - Craig Rochkin finding a new coffee table for us at a yard sale this morning, while he was out running other errands. Im typing while sitting on the sofa with my feet up! Almost as good as my old comfy chair, that I miss ... :) - The train that was trying to block my path to the German-American Festival having finally moved out of the way. Craig looked up a phone number for me, in case I had to call to say I was going to be late for my judging gig. I didnt know any other way to get to the festival, and had no clue how to skedaddle around the train tracks to get where I needed to be. (Sense of direction??? Not my strong suit.) Fortunately, Snow Patrols Called Out in the Dark was on, so I had a good tune to amuse me as I waited and waited. But ... :( But it all resolved, just in time. I spent my afternoon eating cake! https://youtube/watch?v=GwTXwJg6_VE - No imminent deadlines, no waiting for information, no playing phone tag, no editors wanting just one more quote, no scheduling of photo shoots, no pressure. My big deal article about the revived holiday cheese tradition here in Toledo - which consumed my entire week, up til 5:30 yesterday evening - will be in tomorrows paper. Whew!
