Tonights movie is BURN AFTER READING (2008) directed by Ethan and Joel Coen. Trouble starts when a CD disc containing the memoirs of ex-CIA operative Osbourne Cox (John Malkovich) is found in the shower room of Hard Bodies gym. Fitness employees Linda Litsky (Frances MacDormand) and Chad Feldheimer (Brad Pitt) smell big bucks when they try to sell its contents to the Russians. Meanwhile Coxs wife Katie (Tilda Swinton) is having an affair with State Department marshal, Harry Pfarrer (George Clooney), and....a lot of bad things happen. This is a very funny dark comedy about stupid people who think theyre smart. Kudos to Brad Pitt for an exceptionally hilarious performance. With Richard Jenkins and J.K. Simmons. Highly recommended.
