Tonights sermon: A good name Ecclesiastes.7:1[NKJV] A good name is better than precious ointment, And the day of death than the day of one’s birth. ........................................................ Reference scripture: 1 Chronicles.4:9[NKJV] 9 Now Jabez was more honorable than his brothers, and his mother called his name Jabez,[a] saying, “Because I bore him in pain.” ....................................................... Some of the attitudes, curses, spells and misfortunes follow your name. You might grow up not knowing that your name carries problems and it affects you. Before we talk about the spiritual, in the natural people can no longer lend you money because yo have a bad record of not paying back. Your name might cleansing in the business world because many have blacklisted you. You are now avoiding many people in your life because you failed to pay them, and that as affected even the reputation of your family. Even if you finally pay back but your name and reputation is already tarnished. Some people even swindle others in the name of the church or Jesus Christ and these are sheep in the wolf skin. Once you realise that you will not be able to pay back on time, approach the person or bank and explain your situation before they start following you up and that serves your name. How good is your name and have you been protecting that name? The bigger your name is, the easier it can be spoiled. If a witch wants to cast a spell on someone they use your name or totem or surname. It is the point of contact. Without your name no curses or spells can be cast on you. They hold onto your name because it gives them power no matter the distance from wherever you are. There are many people who are casting evil spells in your life and you have never pleaded with the blood of Jesus over that name so that the spells get nullified. Some of you were given names of your aunties, uncles, grannies or any close relative and what happened in those people’s lives will also happen to your life. You need to look at the circumstances around your name as it might be affecting your life in the form of delays, misfortunes and poverty. 1 Chronicles.4:9 Jabez was better than others but he had boundaries and could venture into many areas of his life. His life had limits and he noticed that he needed to pray in order to cancel and break the limits that came with his name. you could be like Jabez, you need to cancel the effects of your name on your life. By the anointing power of this service you will not go back home with the same name but with a name that is full of blessings. When Moses went out of Egypt he went out a murderer but he came back a deliverer. You might be cursed today but God is turning that around . Your forename and surname remains the same but the spirit behind the name should change from today. The purpose of this service is to cleanse your name fully by the blood of Jesus. When God is about to change someone’s life He changes the person’s name prior to that. Saul’s name was changed, Jacob’s name was changed, Abram’s name was also changed among many more people. After today’s service it will not be possible because they will search for you name in the dark kingdom but will not locate you. You and your name will open new doors. The past is over. Just as God forgave Moses’ past the same will happen to you today. Shout, “Me and my name are opening new doors in the name Jesus Christ!” Glory be to God. Mbiri kunaJesu.
