Tony Abreu of Windowpanes Seattle Page, I accepted the Ice Bucket Challenge to raise money through ALSA.org with the purpose of raising money and awareness in the search a cure for ALS. Charities rely on donations to fund their work. Today I donated online at ALSA.org and tonight I am playing a show with Jar of Flies & Outshined at El Corazon for the Layne Staley Birthday Celebration Weekend with proceeds being donated to THS (Therapeutic Health Services) through the Layne Staley Memorial Fund. A cause you can also donate at layne-staley ALS is a terminal disease that can strike at anyone. If you are unaware of this disease please search out the Jason Becker story. A guitarist with all the promise in the world stricken down before he became a household name in music.... Spread the word, reach out and donate to the cause!
