True confession time. I have been accused of being always right and perfect and unforgiving of people making mistakes, so I would like to share a little story showing that I am preyed on by the deadly sins too. Last time I took my daughter to the airport in Chicago, I gave into GREED! Greed for building materials cheap. I went to a tile outlet and examined their inventory for over an hour and a half, and the desire built up in me into terrible force. This was beautiful, and that was such a good deal, etc. Well by the time I left my car was loaded with 65 boxes of stone for projects at home, all loaded into my little Passat. I needed all that since there were cracked bathrooms and molded carpets and walls after the tree fell on the roof, and 30 years of use and misuse. The man loading it all warned me, I hope youre going somewhere close, because it doesnt look safe to me. After I took my first turn and bottomed out when I hit a bump, I knew I needed help. Thanks goodness for friends like Matthew Birchfield that helped me get it all into town. I think each box was about 30 or 35 pounds.
