Tony Fitzgerald accused the Newman LNP of holding a populist - TopicsExpress

Tony Fitzgerald accused the Newman LNP of holding a populist stance, while simultaneously working to un-do decades of anti-corruption reform. The LNP has sacked, stacked and otherwise reduced the effectiveness of parliamentary committees, subverted and weakened the states anti-corruption commission and concerns have arisen of the inappropriate influence of politically supportive police. He says power in Queensland has been transferred to a small, cynical, political class. As matters stand, neither major party wants political standards to be a significant electoral issue and neither will willingly reform the flawed political process which they control and from which they each benefit. Shame Newman, Shame. -LittleBjelke.
