Too many women are reporting that they felt disrespected, that they didnt give consent for a procedure, and even felt violated during their #birth. This is not okay! This article is written about a survey of women in the UK, but we see similar issues here in the US. But the time has come to be brave and face this issue, if not for our own sake, for the sake of all those women who have not yet had their babies. Women in labour have the legal right to consent or refuse, and cannot be forced to accept treatment, even if it is in the best interest of their unborn child. ...but rather that they feel deeply upset that they were not consulted about what was happening to their body. Be informed and YOU can have a better birth experience!
