Too often when people who are removed from an hot-topic issue such as the Ferguson situation discuss it with each other, they try to figure out the rationale behind the actions of those who are doing things like breaking windows and burning buildings. Yet sometimes our behaviors are not motivated by rational thoughts, sometimes they are purely emotional. Quite often, doing something like breaking the windows of a Starbucks in protest of a global trade meeting is not intended to change the situation but rather just to express frustration and powerlessness. Does this make sense to you? Id love to hear some thoughts.
