Took a quick break from our usual work last night to shoot some photos at good ol San Jose Skate. (a.k.a. Golden State Roller Palace…. a.k.a. Aloha Roller Palace) Since they are shutting the place down at the end of this month, they are having a few final farewell concerts by some local San Jose/Bay Area bands. Last night was pretty fun, as we got to see My Former Self, Plans For Revenge, and even a few songs by Strata. It was quite a fun blast from the past feeling. There were many familiar faces of people who used to regularly frequent the local shows, back when venues like the Campbell Gaslighter, The Outhouse in Los Gatos, and The Portable were the common go-to places to go watch your friends perform throughout the week. Always a bummer when a venue closes, but always happy to have the fun memories to look back on. Ill post some pictures from last night shortly. :)
