Took mini Jim to Cheesecake Factory last night. Service was pretty good, especially since we had a waitress in training. We were patient with her and she did a good job and was polite until....I asked for the check, took 15 minutes to get it. I had my card ready and gave it right back to her. 15 minutes later she comes back and says credit card machine is down and asks if she can make a copy of my card and run it later?! Uhhh, NO! She walks away and here comes a manager asking me the same question...Uhhh, NO again. He then tells me they are trying to resolve the issue and please be patient. We wait another 15 minutes and he comes back and says still no luck. Okay, by this time Im pissed. Ive been trying to pay my bill for over 45 minutes and its almost 11pm....time for management to comp the meal in my opinion. I didnt have cash, I offered a check and they declined. He comes back and says they are trying to reboot and I said look Im tired of sitting here and Im ready to go. He walks off and the waitress immediately comes back with and says she was able to get my card thru. No apologies, nothing. It took us almost an hour just to pay our bill and they offer us nothing...a free piece of cheesecake would have been nice gesture. And yes, I did leave her a nice tip...wasnt her fault.
