Took our company over to Parris Island where Matt was able to relive his memories of the place from 1990. Drove all over, went to the museum and while out near the rifle range we observed a dozen or so Marines (not recruits) all in dress blue uniforms milling around in the parking lot. Since Kaitlyn has a sore neck from ogling all the young physical specimens we saw, Grandma Judy decided she should go over and have her picture taken with the Marines. After being drug out of the car by gramma the photo was taken - handshakes all around, thanks for service, etc. Turns out they were part of a funeral detail enroute to somewhere. At least one of them was not a happy camper over the detail and when they shook their hands and said thanks he actually said that improved his day - so it was a win-win all around. As Judy told Kaitlyn, you never know how the most insignificant thing will affect another person. SEMPER FI.
