Took the Little Man to the gym last night. (Once a month the local gym takes in kids so that parents can have a date night and the kids just run around like crazy and then do a craft) I always send him with his own snack so that we dont have to worry about him not liking whatever they offer there. When I went to pick him up, I was handed the empty Ziplock bag from his snack. He insisted on keeping it. I figure it was his little bit of familiarity in the unknown of the gym activities. He loves going and doesnt want to leave, but they change activities each time, so he cant predict what will happen. If an empty Ziplock bag helps him regulate, who am I to judge? Also, kudos to the staff there who *get* him and go along with these things.
