Took this photo last week on the Jacinta, the winches held 6000 feet of steel warp and were built by world renowned engineers Robertsons on Dock street. This trawler and its sister vessels Gavina,Luneda,Irvana and Fyldea were the supreme fish catching machines, all were built at Wallsend except Irvana which was built at Grangemouth. The other photo might bring a smile to the ex fishermen on this site although its not Fleetwood related. Me and my wife visit CalaFiguera often and these dogfish were the star catch of the day on MARJUPE 2 a quite large stern trawler for the Med. I reckon Jacintas catches would be a little better.
