Leander ISD bus driver arrested on suspicion of DUI after taking students home from Steiner Ranchs River Ridge Elementary yesterday. According to Veronica Sopher, the LISD spokesperson, the incident happened around 3:30 p.m. in the Steiner Ranch neighborhood. The driver of bus #336 was taking kids home from River Ridge Elementary School when she struck a curb on S. Quinlan Park Road and hit a branch that caused damage to the bus. No children were injured, but another bus was brought in to take the remaining students home. Parents claim the bus driver had been dropping off kids and failed a field sobriety test after driving erratically and scaring children, who called their parents from the bus, according to KVUE. A parent says the school will have counselors available today for students who were on the bus. KXAN has this report:
