Top Cop Mary Tembo Disappoints Women Movement The women movement says it is saddened by the arrest of former Copperbelt Police Commissioner Mary Tembo. Non Governmental Organization Coordinating Council Board Chairperson Beatrice Grillo said they were disappointed as they expected women to serve with integrity. Grillo said they hoped that women had learnt from Tembo’s arrest to conduct themselves in an exemplary manner. “The arrest of one of the high profile women is very sad for us because we expect women to serve with a high level of integrity. It is unfortunate that she finds herself in that situation now but it is our prayer that women in leadership positions have learnt something from her situation,” she said. “We just want to implore women in leadership positions to be above board so that our cry for consideration for high profile positions is not disadvantaged.’ On Wednesday Tembo was arrested by the Anti Corruption Commission on two counts of corruption.
