Top ten things a self-loathing, self-professed secular Hindu is most likely to say: # 9 - Terrorists have no religion (in case of radical Islamist terrorist acts like serial bomb blasts, beheadings, attacks like 26/11) # 8 - These saffron terrorists are destroying the secular fabric of India (In case of some fringe Hindu group opposing Valentines day in Kerala) # 7 - Forced conversions should be banned. VHP is a rabid, hatred mongering outfit. (At #gharwapasi) # 6 - People should be free to change their faith if they want to. Our constitution grants them the freedom. (Comment on evangelisation by radical Christian groups) #5 - Teaching Suryanamaskars in schools is repressive. Who is the state to tell me what I should teach my kids? Why is the government hoisting Hinduism on my kids? #4 - Yog, Ayurved and Pranayam have got nothing to do with Hinduism. These are universal practises followed by the whole world. # 3 - I dont follow any rituals. I go to the temple because my parents/wife/husband/in-laws/the Great Satan makes me. For me, temples are only heritage structures. I visit temples merely to study the architecture. # 2 - I am not really a Hindu by faith. You see, Hinduism is not a religion.
