Toronto, Ontario -- Thanking the Reception & Program Committees of the Knights of Columbus, Council 12582, led by my longtime friend, Pors Canlas , at the Our Lady of Assumption Parish (OLA) on Bathurst Avenue this city, and all of its member-knights, as well as those visiting knights from other councils, for receiving me warmly, Saturday evening, July 23, 2014, at its Summer Bash Dinner-Dance at the OLA Parish Hall. I had a great time chatting with the K of C Council 12582 members, as well as members from other councils who came to support their brother knights at the OLA-based Council. I had a good chat with the Rev. Deacon Bob Rosales (who is also the administrator of this Ace Alvarez -- Candidate for Catholic School Board Trustee [TCDSB Ward 12]); the ever energetic Kuya Manny Austria; my fellow candidate for the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB), Manny Yanga (for Ward 7), and Grand Knight Manuel Mendoza Ching of St. Alphonsus Councuil # 15840 (who, I was informed last Saturday, is filing his nomination for the TCDSB Trustee post for Ward 9 on Tuesday, July 15). I also had a great time with other longtime friends and acquaintances affiliated with the K of C, among others, Jimmy Marasigan, Frank Plata Crawford; a lot of them, but too numerous to mention all names here. I also had a brief chats with Mitz Malig Canlas, Mang Ben Ferrer, Ethel Panganiban Stewart, and Jeanette Rosales. Who else did I see at the event? ... Let me post this as I continue to think ....
