Tottenham Hotspur transfer news: Guarin and another Belgian? A select round-up of transfer rumours relating to Tottenham Hotspur, including Fredy Guarin, Nacer Cahdli and Manolo Gabbiadini. Andre Villas-Boas is apparently considering making a move for Inter midfielder Fredy Guarin, who could be available for around £17million this summer. Villas-Boas worked with Guarin during his spell at the Italian club, and might see the Colombian as the perfect man to add some extra creativity to Spurs’ midfield. Guarin has filled in a wide variety of positions for Inter this year, but is predominantly and attacking central midfielder. The 26-year-old contributed four goals and three assists in 32 Serie A appearances last season, adding a further three goals and five assists in his eight Europa League outings. With Inter finishing ninth in Serie A, Guarin might be prepared to move in order to play European football next season, although Spurs could face competition from Napoli, who have also been linked with the player. Spurs are also apparently monitoring youngster Manolo Gabbiadini, who is currently on duty for Italy at the under-21 European Championships. The 21-year-old can play across and attacking three, but has generally been used as a striker by Bologna this season, where he has scored six times in 30 appearances. Gabbiadini is clearly more one for the future than someone Spurs would expect to be starting every game, but he has great potential, and his heading ability is excellent. It might be a tricky deal to complete though, as Gabbiadini is co-owned by Juventus and Atalanta, having spent last season on loan at Bologna. The agent of FC Twente winger Nacer Chadli has suggested his client would be open to a move to the Premier League this summer, with Tottenham Hotspur among the teams reportedly vying for the Belgian’s signature. Agent Daniel Evrard said the 23-year-old was also being pursued by Ajax, but that he would be interested in a switch away from the Eredivisie. Spurs fans might remember Chadli from their Champions League campaign a few years ago, where he scored for FC Twente against them in both group games. Chadli is currently on international duty with Belgium, but his agent expects a decision to be made on his future this month.
