Tourism Summit of 2014 It was the day, when we became too much disappointed and dissatisfied because we couldn’t understand that the meeting of yesterday were a tourism summit 2014 or seminar of civil society. We were invited by Kashmir tourism Summit 2014 to attend the Summit, but the unfortunate part is that instead of representation of tourism members in the summit there were Civil society members who were representing this whole scenario. The matter of concern and the unfortunate part was that there was not the central tourism minister who was supposed to be the attendance in the meeting so that they could dig up the plights of tourism industry and could redress them. We were supposed to be with central tourism minister to discuss the problems and promotion of tourism industry. But the Minister didn’t come, as we were eagerly waiting for him for long hours. Then all of a sudden MP Punjab appeared in the meeting. We felt oblivion that time when some members of minority community have start to spoke some remarks that trigger the summit. They have changed the whole scenario that time when they frequently repeated the whole scene of 1995 attack on Kashmiri Pandits. They allegedly mention that the Muslims of Kashmir have thrust out us from the valley. Summit twisted in the direction of wrangle. Then President of DTOAK Hamid Wangnoo stood up on behalf of Kashmiriyat and corker answered this statement that, it’s all baseless allegations by minority community and Kashmiris are known for its better hospitality in the world. Every year thousands of tourists throng the Kashmir with better hospitality here and cardinal atmosphere. Tourists are welcome everywhere in Kashmir.” Then at last the President gave the memorandum to the MP Punjab where the MP Punjab promised that this memorandum will put forward to the union minister of tourism. The memorandum was about the promotion of tourism and the extension of LTC date for J&K and for better infrastructure/ environment. Now anyway i assume Mr. Nadeem Qadri will clarify about it before the participants in the minutes of the meeting. So that it shouldn’t happen again in future.
