Simon, Youzhny, Chardy, Cilic, Thiem, Robredo, Delbonis, Janowicz, Karlovic, Dolgopolov, Berdych, Gulbis, Anderson and Paire was struggling during their early round matches. Dimitrov didnt played his best during his match against Ferrer. Ramos , Ferrer, Lu, Llodra, Garcia-Lopez and Carreno Busta improved a lot. Wawrinka played absolutely different to his performance during Indian Wells and Miami after he won the Australian Open. He finally advanced to his 3rd career ATP 1000 final and won his first career ATP 1000 title after defeat Federer. Federer was a bit struggling during his quarterfinal match but he back in form during his semifinal against injured Djokovic but lose to Wawrinka in a terrific 3-sets final. Djokovic played unbelievable in his second and third round match but he was struggling during the first and second set of his quarterfinal match. He meet Federer for the third time in 2014 while Federer leads their head-to-head record by 17-16. But unfortunately, Djokovic was injured and didn’t played well during the semifinal match and Federer eventually leads the record by 18-16 after defeated him in the semifinal.
