Traditional hearing at Katji Nakatji. The Judge ( foromani) the accused (munzoni) and the jury (mbunga). Judgement: the owners of the 8 cattle that ate our mahangu were ordered to pay a bag of mahangu or 200 dollars per cow. The man who opened the kraal to loose the 10 unidentified cows was ordered to pay 10 bags of mahangu. In other words 18 mahangu bags for 18 cattle eating approximately 40 bags of my mahangu harvest. The man who allegedly came to ask his N$450 from the headman was held in contempt and was ordered to pay 4 cows mokuswaura foromani. As a Lawyer myself I find this system corrupt and favourtism. May the blood of Jesus rain and reign in katjinakatji.
