Traffic Alert: 2 Accidents in Auburn on I-90 Westbound Snarl Traffic CHARLTON, Mass. (WGGB) — A crash at the 83.5 mile marker on the Mass. Pike in Auburn New Year’s Eve is impacting traffic flow going both eastbound and westbound. A tractor trailer going westbound on I-90 Wednesday at around 2:00 p.m. crashed causing diesel fuel to spill onto the road closing 2 lanes on the highway. State Police and emergency crews responded to the scene and are now working on clean-up. State Police report traffic has been impacted and is backed up. They’re asking drivers to seek alternative routes. There was also a secondary crash that occurred just prior to the tractor trailer crash which snarled traffic even more. Police say there are no injuries. At this time State Police estimate it will take 4 to 5 hours for clean-up work and are telling drivers to expect heavy delays. photos State Police
