Traffic was heavy this morning. I was barely moving passing an accident and a motorcyclist passed me and the car beside me, maneuvering his way along the dotted line between lanes at a dangerous speed. I traveled a few more miles along the freeway and traffic was slowing, some was stopped. Then I saw him. He was mangled, bleeding, and not moving. Black road rash from his waist to his chest. His legs didnt appear human with the bent, tangled position his foolishness had consequently found him in. You could identify the motorcycle as the back was somewhat intact. The canvas backpack I noticed when he passed earlier had been thrown from him landing 100 feet away, I wondered what was in the backpack. I wondered where his family is. And I prayed.
