Tragic is not the word I would use to describe Hoffmans death. Being found in your apartment with the needle still in your arm and heroine on the table is just sad. I understand addiction and realize it is a horrible disease but this is a person with the means and support to fight the addiction. I have known people with much less in their lives fight through such diseases and win. Did he not feel that his partner and 3 kids deserved more? Did he not think he did? This death is just becoming the norm and more excepting in our culture. What is tragic is his 3 children wont have a father now.
