Trailing 6-0 at halftime and struggling offensively, the Seattle Seahawks chances at the top overall seed in the NFC dwindled. At the time, the Arizona Cardinals were also beating the San Francisco 49ers, increasing the likelihood that Seattle would enter the playoffs as a wild card team instead of a division champion. Star S Earl Thomas and his fellow #Seahawks had other plans, however. Seattle took control early in the second half, and a touchdown run by Marshawn Lynch propelled the team to home field advantage for a second straight season. Even when the #Rams tried to keep the game close, Seattle slammed the door on them, as Thomas stripped RB Benny Cunningham short of the goal line to seal the victory in the fourth quarter.
