The Scholarships & Training for Egyptian Professionals (STEP) Program is a five year USAID funded project that aims to invest in Egypt by supporting the Government of Egypt to improve organizational capacity within Egyptian institutions and develop a stronger workforce through providing 100 Egyptian women with Masters of Business Administration degrees, 60 women with bachelor’s degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) fields from U.S. universities. In addition to providing thousands of Egyptian professionals – both government and private sector – with short-term training in fields linked to USAID’s technical sectors including Education and Training, Democracy and Governance, Economic Growth, and Health.
