Transformus changed my life in 2009. For two years I had been on my adventure as PERICLES, parted ways with C of C 3.5 years deep, seeking to sustain the lifestyle of a music producer and live performer. I was playing all around the southeast and beyond, constantly enchanted by the subtle magic road trips with special friends manifest and the spontaneity of sharing unique music in new places, meeting kindred souls. One of those pivotal road trips was to Asheville NC in spring 2009, thanks to a booking by my now long time mischievous elf friend Cleofus Williams. As I entered the Asheville vortex, I began hearing whispers of this experience beyond time and space called Transformus that took place in one of the most beautiful lil nooks of the fairy kingdom on Earth. By the first night of my first Transformus, my spirit was lit up like never before. I morphed into an ancient genie before nightfall. My eyes were open to the most explosively beautiful world I had ever seen. Everyone, everywhere, celebrating with all their might in the most beautiful and insane ways imaginable. After being dosed and performing my first set at the Temple of Boom Friday night, feeling like I was navigating a mega-crunkd starship down the galactic freeway, I knew I had found a place in our imagination worthy of the name Home. A weekend of Shire-like camaraderie, silliness, sweetness, abstract dancing, insanity, and deep appreciation for life followed, and we carried the magic with us everywhere we went from then on...Mysterian ambassadors
