Transparent Moment Alert: My twins were born pre-term, and sometimes, I dont like putting pictures of them up on their personal page because I have been, Why does your baby still suck on a bottle shamed by a few righteous parents who dont understand that there could be WORSE things than a happy, healthy 2 1/2 year old sucking on a bottle. Instead of shaming me, ask me a few questions and you would find out that my twins were born in distress with their umbilical cords wrapped around their throats, and were two hours from being stillborn. My son, as a result, has an oral aversion and will not eat solid food. WHAT THIS MEANS IS: Every single day, my mom or I take the time to make him a sweet potato, we steam apples and pears for FRESH applesauce daily, we sneak in a little cous cous or brown rice, we steam and puree broccoli, squash, zucchini, carrots, and other fruits and vegetables that are in season. Both of my kiddos are healthy, happy, and carefree. Please be careful not to shame someone because your child is progressing at one speed and you think ALL children should progress like yours. I have feelings too, and they get hurt when you get insensitive on me. According the their pediatrician, Im doing a great job. Her opinion is what matters to me.
