Transplant update....so many have asked and I havent gotten back to all of you like I meant to so here it is as of yesterday. Its been 3 1/2 weeks since the transplant surgery and Darci (the donor) is doing great. We expected her to since she was very healthy and fit going into the surgery and there was not a lot of post surgery care but just wound healing. But with Darrin, it has been just sort of holding with discouraging reports from time to time. We have prayerfully waited and of course there are frequent tests being conducted and much aftercare. Then yesterday at his scheduled exam at the Medical Center in Omaha, we got some news we had been hoping for. He had no clots, they were able to remove one of the tubes, and best of all, his creatinine level dropped significantly which most likely indicates that the new kidney is functioning on some level. Darrin is feeling better and stronger all the time. Praise God for all of this news. Praise God!!
