Travel Claims:- The necessary protection throughout your period of journey whether you are on a business trip or holiday. General Claims Guidelines Notify MSIG immediately as soon as you have returned from abroad in respect of any event that may give rise to a claim. Complete the relevant sections of the Claim Form relating to your claim. Then submit the Claim Form together with the following documents: i) Tour Operators Confirmation of Booking Invoice ii) Copies of Airline tickets The following documents are also needed for:- Medical Expenses/ Personal Accident (Non-fatal case):- Original Medical Report from attending physician showing the nature of injury/illness Original Medical Bills/Receipts Original Receipts for all amount claimed for additional travel and accommodation Confirmation of admittance and discharge from the hospital for hospital benefit claim Medical Expenses/Personal Accident (Fatal case):- Police Report Medical Report Death Certificate Post Mortem Report Letter of Administration Cancellation:- Cancellation Invoice from the Tour Operator If on medical grounds, a complete Medical Report/Certificate Documents to support the reasons for cancellation. Curtailment:- If due to accident or illness abroad, a Letter of Confirmation from the treating doctor confirming that it is necessary to return home Original Receipts on all amount claimed Documents to support the reasons for curtailment. Travel Delay:- A written confirmation from the airlines/shipping lines regarding the period of delay (number of hours) and the reasons for it Personal Luggage/Money/Travel Documents:- Original Receipts for all items claimed and description of the items if not shown on the receipt Property Irregularity Report issued by the airline concerned if baggage is lost or damaged by an airline Letter from the airline confirming the duration of and the reasons for delay for the Personal Luggage Claims Police Report and Currency Exchange Slip for Money and Theft Claims Missed Travel Connection:- A written confirmation from the airlines concerned confirming the duration of delay and the reasons for it. Travel Overbooked:- A written confirmation from the airlines concerned confirming the ticket is overbooked. Missed Departure:- Documents to support the reasons for the missed departure. Original receipts for additional accommodation and travel expenses incurred:- Additional Cost of Rental Car Return A copy of the Rental Agreement Receipt for payment:- Confirmation letter or receipt confirming the actual date returned of the rental vehicle. Claims Guidelines for Personal Liability Claim:- Notify MSIG immediately after the third party has made a claim from you. Do not admit liability, negotiate or repudiate any claim with the third party without MSIGs consent. Provide MSIG with details of the third party wherever appropriate. Forward all relevant documents unanswered to MSIG as soon as you have received them from the third party for our immediate attention.
