Travel & Family Photo Tips ~ The best time to shoot the scene is when you first see it. If you wait the emotional effect will dissipate because you brain has already registered that image and it is “old”. ~ Shoot versions… at least 3 versions. Shoot a wide view and intermediate view and a close up view. ~ Check your exposure; you cannot fix that later. I see the image in the LCD display & the Histogram. ~ Always control where your camera is focusing; you cannot fix that later. ~ Travel light, take no more than 2 lenses & a flash. Enjoy the day, the location & the activity. ~ Don’t pose the kids, they will rebel, get tired of it and you will get horrible shots. Shoot lots of candids. ~ Dont make a family event into a photo excursion.
