Travel South America – Titicaca Lake Bolivia Titicaca Lake, also known as the “Sacred Lake of the Incas”, is not only the highest lake in the world, but also one of the most important life sources of the Andes. During this Day Trip you will get to know the Highlights of the Lake and be able to enjoy great landscapes. Overland journey from La Paz to Copacabana, located at the shores of Lake Titicaca. Once in Copacabana, we will visit the shrine and the Dark Indian Virgin. The highlight of the day is the hydrofoil cruise to Moon Island with a visit to the Sun Virgins Temple “Iñak Uyu”. We continue to Sun Island and visit the Inca “Grand Stairs” and the Sacred Fountain. Do not miss to taste the water believed to give eternal youth and happiness. Lunch at the Uma Kollu archaeological Restaurant. We have time to stroll along the small handicraft market, before the Hydrofoil cruise continues to Huatajata. We will explore the Andean Roots Eco Village with the Altiplano Museum, Handicrafts village, the Mud Igloos and the mortuary towers of the Urus Chipayas. We will meet the Limachi family, builders of the RA II and Tigris for epic expeditions across the Atlantic Ocean. Then we take an overland trip back to your hotel in La Paz.
