Traveling meth lab found at Blackhawk Park Vernon County Sheriff John Spears reports the arrest of Ashlyn Dawn Roney, age 25, of Mt. Sterling, Wisconsin. While on patrol, a Vernon County Sheriff’s Deputy came across a suspicious vehicle at Blackhawk Park, Town of Wheatland. Through the course of the investigation it was discovered that Roney was in the process of manufacturing methamphetamine, using the “shake and bake” method. The automobile was impounded and thereafter all the components of the drug making process were neutralized by Vernon County Haz Mat team and the Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Spears asks that people stay alert and be aware of suspicious activities in their neighborhoods, rural or otherwise.
