Travelogue San Pablo 3-3-3 During breakfast I had an excellent conversation with Fr. Dennis, the priest who was in the procession. He has been in the U.S. and is a great fan of American poets. I am accustomed to Filipinos knowing more about American sports teams, movies and television programs than I do, but this was the first time I encountered someone there who knows a lot more about American poets than I do. Fr. Dennis could recite a lot of lines from Emily Dickinson, and he seemed very happy to meet someone who had at least heard of the poets he mentioned. Actually I recognized all the names but one, but I didnt let on that I didnt recognize it. I did enjoy the conversation very much. Mostly I listened, which I should do more often.
