Treasury and Payables Supervisor-HARARE $ Negotiable The responsibilities of the Treasury & Payables Supervisor are to monitor and report on the Company’s daily cash position and ensure proper control over and safeguarding of cash resources through bank reconciliations and effective follow ups. The Treasury & Payables Supervisor is the key contact Main Responsibilities - Daily cash summary reporting Capturing customer receipts and other deposits Bank reconciliations - Daily, Weekly, Monthly Creditors accounts reconciliations - Weekly, Monthly Interfacing with bankers Key areas - 1. Downloading daily bank statements and reviewing them for unusual transactions. 2. Preparation of the daily cash summary/position and circulating to the Finance team, and ensuring bank accounts are adequately funded to meet daily payments. Communicate funding gaps to the Treasury & Credit Manager. 3. Updating the daily Deposit Listing spreadsheet. 4. Capturing customer receipts into UIS. 5. Following up on unidentified deposits with the Credit Controller, Business Managers and the Bank. 6. Track and follow up on bank deposits by Cashiers. 7. Prepare bank reconciliations (daily, weekly and monthly). 8. Prepare staff working fund reconciliations. 9. Prepare creditors accounts reconciliations, weekly, monthly 10.Preparation of letters to the bank in respect of foreign payments and any other correspondence. 11. Petty Cash management, which involves preparation of letters for withdrawals for all depots and journalizing of funds. 12. Attending to external & internal customers who require payment confirmations. 13. Interfacing with bankers and compliance with Exchange Control Regulations. KEY SKILL Previous skills in a similar position in the financial team.
