Trial dates have been set for the 3 Indy men accused of murdering and robbing Hayden gun shop owner A dozen relatives of three men accused of murdering Scott Maxie listened quietly in the Jennings County Circuit Courtroom Monday morning as Judge Jon Webster explained the charges against them. Darryl Worthen, 24; Dejuan Worthen, 23; and Darion Harris, 20, all of Indianapolis, are each charged with murder, murder while committing robbery and robbery with bodily injury. One woman sobbed when Webster read the murder charge against Harris during the initial hearing for the three men. Webster appointed Brad Kage and Jeremy Seal as attorneys for Darryl Wor­then, and Aaron Edwards and Brett Hays as attorneys for Dejuan Worthen. Both Darryl and Dejuan Wor­then, who are brothers, said they could not afford hiring a lawyer to represent them. Harris told the judge he would be hiring his own attorney. Webster set the bond for each at $500,000, which means each can be released from the Jennings County Jail if a $50,055 cash bond is posted. The judge also entered preliminary pleas of not guilty for each and announced trial dates: Feb. 16 for Dejuan Worthen, March 2 for Darryl Worthen and March 9 for Harris. A probable cause affidavit filed in court by the Jennings County prosecutors office revealed more details of the crime.
