“Tribal elders, Maliks, parliamentarians, politicians, intellectuals, lawyers, doctors, students and others have made an alliance with the name “Tribal Political Unity” (TPU) for uniting tribal people to enable them to raise their voice from one platform for solution to their ongoing issues like cruel Frontier Crime Regulations, poor state of law and order, drone strikes, political and economic instability etc. and to demand an alternate system or make the system effective in Fata. Through this grand assembly tribal people would raise their problems for the resolution by holding Jirgas, meetings and demonstrations in Fata and other parts of the country particularly Islamabad. The coalition has underlined the need to keep politics away from grand Jirga to make it a success and to shun difference and show unity to solve problems”.
