Tricia shares After some help please, my 3 and half year old has ASD.. He does this thing where if I tell him he has hurt or made somebody sad he will look at me and hit something and grunt, or if daddy tells him no he will run over and look at his dad then hit me,. So basically if its me saying it he will always hti either me or an object, but if its his dad he will hit me. Sometimes he has even hit his 5 month old brother on the head which isnt ideal. I dont know why he is doing it or how I can deal with it any advice would be really helpful. Also.. telling offs ... We use to just tell him to leave the room but it has no effect... I have no idea how to tell him no. He keeps touching one toy that he isnt allowed and no matter what we do it wont stop, but in general anything he does that isnt allowed there is no way to explain, he can speak but not too well (mainly just copying us) so we feel a bit like we just have to let him do whatever he wants Ive started trying going to his room with him, cuddling him and explaining that way why he was sent out (time in instead of time out) but nothing we try works and I just dont know what else to do. So again, any advice would be so appreciated. Thank you.
