Tricks are all well and good but out in the real world dogs need to be easy to live with. During the shooting season, every season the dogs I work get a little bit less refined on the trained cues they have learnt. January is the last month of the shooting season for us and from the end of this month we will be retraining #TeamWigglyDog ready for long summer walks and also various competitions from Competitive Obedience to Gundog Working Tests and Scurries, so Speed and Accuracy being key. Here is a clip shot today to see where we are, our bench mark so we can look back as we train and see how far we have come. The more observant amidst our viewers will note the dogs in the clip are heavily distracted/drawn to something near the tree, perhaps the Spaniel owners will be best placed to guess what the distraction is?
