Tried to get a huge smile. No go! Pennys peld is 17. Her bili has been holding at 15.9 or 15.8. It stopped going up. They said theyll use her labs from last week so no pokes. She is going to get a Broviac any day. It was the 18th but today they said any day they can get her in surgery. And we will be admitted while they teach me and get her levels adjusted. I dont mind. Its to help her. We met Dr. Wachs...again. I didnt know that was him in rounds when they were going to transplant her in March. So many faces. He answered all my questions. He said that sometimes a baby liver is too small for other babies to use and even if its not in our region they would get an offer. Thats some good hope!! I think our region has 6 states. Our transplant coordinator talked with me a little how we can only know certain things about the donor and them us. Surprisingly talking about a donor makes me very sad and contemplative. You want life for your baby but that means death for another. A lump is in my throat thinking about it. I know they can call any day or christmas or feb. I am in no hurry. The surgeon remembered me and the circumstances with Pennys liver failure before. He said I am a good mom and he thinks Penny will have a good recovery because Im such a good mother. He was kind. I needed that ♡
