Trigger warnings have long been standard etiquette for discussing violence or oppression in the social-justice blogosphere. But now the trigger warning has leapt from the Internet to the academy, where theres increasing pressure for professors to use them to flag course material that may be disturbing. Should difficult material be singled out in universities, or does it open the door for conservative moral panic?
